Pitch Side

Hi, I'm Tom Sansom and thanks for checking out my Pitch Side Blog.

I am a 3rd Year Sports Journalism Student at the University of Gloucestershire, and here you'll find a selection of well-written and enjoyable sports articles, along with my video portfolio.

I have had written sports content published online for a variety of Reach PLC Group publications, across the South West and the Midlands. You can find the links to these articles by following the 'Publications' tab. 

 

Furthermore, I have had interview based features and match reports published in print media, 

for the Leicester Mercury, Gloucestershire Echo and Gloucester Citizen Newspapers. PDF's of these articles can be found by clicking the images for the articles, in the 'Newspaper Articles' tab.

I have produced rugby articles for VAVEL, as well as being the Super Rugby writer for Crouch Bind Set. 

 

I am a predominant rugby fan, yet I also enjoy watching and playing football, which is reflected in my numerous knowledgeable articles covering both sports. 

 

I am originally from Devon, and I have a lifelong background in sport.  I love rugby, and I've played it from an early age. I love being by the coast too, and getting on a surfboard is how I spend my summer. 

 

I enjoy football, and I even gave American Football a go, when I played Line-backer for a year for my University. Honestly, I'm up for giving any sport a try!
